Angie shares her experience.... My mother was experiencing anger with my father one day. Instead of engaging in confrontational discussions with my father which she normally do, she decided to practice CLT. Within moments, she could feel her agitated emotions calming down. She felt calmer after 10 minutes of practice. When my father continued to agitate her, she was in a better position to handle her irritation and frustration. Based on her experience, I believe that this is a more healthy and safer way to release anger. This would allow one to be calmer and better able to trace the root cause of the anger and address it long term.
