Practitioners tend to use these two terms - 'cultivation' and 'reconnection' interchangeable or speak of it as if the same. What is your view?

Cultivation is defined as the improvement of one's mind and character. Reconnection is when one is aligned to the purpose of the Source which is to provide salvation to mankind. I believe that one can only reconnect to the Source when one genuinely cultivate. Hence, I see cultivation as the pre-requisite to reconnection as only with cultivation can we refine our mind and character to resonate the resonance of the Source.

Do you think cultivation can still come from ego perspective and build a lot of energies from that?

I don't think one can cultivate from ego perspective and build lots of energy from it. The whole purpose of cultivation is:
1. To refine one's mind and character to enable one to demonstrate love for self and others
2. To dismantle the separation between self and others
3. To conserve energies to enable us to repair our functionality and activate our mechanisms to return home to the Source
Since ego is defined as personality/individuality, it creates separation between self and others hence it is the total opposite from the purpose of cultivation. Hence, logically, you cannot cultivate on this basis. When one operates from the premise of ego, one tends to lose energy as it contravenes with the characteristics of the source.

I think that cultivation and re-connection to the Source are not the same. As Angie pointed out, cultivation is trying to practise 3 P's: Love, Truth & Selflessness as often as we can, from moment to moment. Ego, on the other hand, causes separation when we often think that others are hurting us, our self-esteem is being 'attacked', etc.. When we're able to cultivate 100% of the time, in terms of thoughts, words and actions, then, it should be pure Love which is what the Source is attempting to remind all of us all the time. When we're able to see that there's no difference between us and others, we're literally ONE. When there's no more issues to resolve, when all the lessons are well learnt, then, our 4 bodies will be one and we ought to return back to the Source.
On a few occasions, when I felt anger rising, I checked my thought form and reminded myself that I'm no different from the other person, that we're actually the same, then, the anger subsides and my energy field isn't that badly affected. I believe that's what cultivation is all about but what most people practise is that they're not taught to take care of their 4 bodies, literally. I'm reminded of what the air hostess reminds all the passengers, to put on your own oxygen mask before attending to others. However, most are conditioned to place other's interests above their own and generally, their physical bodies become ravaged with at times, terminal illnesses like cancer.
There's a difference between cultivation and re-connection to the Source, cultivation is the journey to re-connect to the Source. That's my humble opinion only.
