Clt Cultivation - Cultivation is too tough

Some people has said that cultivation is too tough, it is easier to remain in the mundane life. Any one wants to comment on this statement?

it is akin to saying ignorance is bliss.

However, our knowing mind actually seek the Truth all the while.
Sometimes a "partial glimpse of the Truth is sufficient for our heart to know that is the
right path. The only problem is most knows what is the right path but how many really
choose to walk on that path is a different thing.

Given the choice, most would choose the easy way out why ? We are being bombarded
daily with the media, work place and people we interact that instant gratification of greed
is good and people generally adore these so-called successful individuals with the cars they
drive, houses they stay, designer stuff they carry i.e those attachments they cling on.
Hence, our minds priorities will be skewed towards accumulating these baggage and at
the expense of forgoing true cultivation of the mind. Furthermore, people will start to
brand those seeking cultivation as nut cases or being cheated. To add salt to the injury,
even our own family will start to doubt and question all this new "cultivation" stuff.

In short, we cannot honestly assign blame if one chose ignorance over reality cos the real
battle is not only the cultivation process but also the onslaught barrage of daily criticism
from family, friends and social groups. Imagine fighting the battle on two fronts daily
and all this while maintaining our own sanity that it is the right thing to do. To say it is
tough would be an understatement cos' along the way we ourselves might start questioning
if the cultivation really works or worse we might be blinded with our own mistakes making our
practice off-tangent with the cultivation's true principles.!

We live in an unperfect world that will throw everything against us from seeking the Truth.

Personally, i believe is one were to choose to walk the path, he must realize there is no turning
back cos' to do so would be backsliding at ever a greater speed. Also, along the path our own
inner most demons will start surfacing to hinder our progress and this is where we need to draw
upon our inner reserves of energy to pull us thru.

Difficult, yes ! Impossible, No !!

That is why if we have little or no attachments to material things or stuff not relevant to the pursue
of cultivation, it would be easier to let go and breaking thru the barrier.

To remain in the mundane life is just as tough! Both sides of the coin are just as challenging or even confronting to some. Most will choose to remain in the general behavioural or thinking pattern because 1) one is used to it
2) one's social conditioning makes one believe it is easier to live the 'normal' life i.e. to hold onto whatever attachments or pursuits one has in life.

Cultivation, in my opinion is to cultivate the seeds of life. Seeds sowed by the creator. This means to reset the patterns we have been conditioned to believe are real. Obviously this may seem challenging but the end results bring liberation in life. Consider that, isn't it worth the effort?
