Why is it that people can see other people's mistakes but not their own? From a scientific viewpoint, why are we blind to own mistakes? Any explanation?

On the same note, how do we self-check whether our daily thoughts and actions are in line with CLT 3 P's
given that our nature of work involves lots of self interest i.e personal targets, career progression and
quick fixes or immediate solutions for reporting up the organisational hierarchy; and these are in direct
conflict with CLT's 3rd principle of selflessness ?

We have to practise the 3 Priniciples ('3P') constantly. 3P are principles to refine your character so that your consciousness will raise. You can do your work properly with love and care.
It is different from using the clt energies as an advantage to get ahead of other people, or gain best return from the decision you have taken. The clt energies cannot be used to impose on someone or influence someone to do something for you. If you are aware that you are doing something wrong, but continue to do so, you are violating the 3P.
When you adopt the 3P, your circumstances will improve because you will harm no one and therefore you will face no repercussion from your actions. A harmonised energy field always bring progression.
Do not just look at the work as the place to inhibit the practise 3P. From our past exprience, even when the circumstances are under your control (eg at home, taking care of your own body, relatives, friends...etc), many are not aware that they are not practising the 3P and therefore not able to create a harmonized energy field.
You need to practise at home and learn how to apply the 3P until eventually it cover all facets of your life including work life. Hopefully, your consciousness will raise until you wish to assist and help your fellow humanbeings one day.

Thanks Alex for putting clarity into perspective.
Guess i got lost along the way and was blinded by my own mistakes. To answer the question why
we are blind to our own mistakes, i believe it lies within our individual intention. Intention is the
starting point for everything we do, if it pure and in line with CLT 3Ps, then the thoughts and actions
that follow the intention will be pure; otherwise it will be corrupted.
We should apply the 3Ps right from our morning waking moments and that should enable us to take a
conscious control of our intentions, thoughts and action for the whole day spanning our family to office.
Things are easier said than done but then life is hard and how we choose to approach each day is a matter
of individual choice. A right choice will create a harmonized energy field and a bad choice will result in
not-so-good energy field.

Here is another perspective why one cannot see their mistakes. When they make a mistake or acted in violation of the 3P, the molecules in their body that pertain to that action will get broken down and become destructured. One cannot see the mistake that they have made because the molecules that are supposed to bonded and structured to enable one to evaluate right or wrong action are no longer there because of the violation.
This is the reason why most people are caught in a vicious cycle or samsara and they are not able to get out. They have lost vital molecules to see their way out of a problem.
Other people can see their problem more clearly because they have the essential molecules to solve the problem.

What Alex said made me realise why I was more able to self reflect on my mistakes when I was younger than now.
I have destructured my molecules that formed my moral compass in differentiating what is right and wrong in the course of working in the corporate environment. I have allowed my ego to take control and carried the belief that the best way to get things done is by matching wits and being right. It was this need to be right that had made me violate the 3Ps, repeatedly. The result - I have difficulty self reflecting and seeing my own mistakes. It could also be my own denial of not wanting to admit to the fact that I was instrumental in creating my own curcumstance. Being bombarded by the worldly energies did not help much either.
Last night, something happened that made me realised that I have a tendency to see other's mistakes and not my own. This preoccupation of wanting to be right has made me exhaust my energies on external situations that had little to do with me instead of focusing internally to identify what is driving my behaviour and correct that. I believe if I start with this mindset, I will be able to conserve the energies that I need to repair the destructured molecules to regain my ability to differentiate on what is right and wrong. I hope that some day soon, I will focus only on my own mistakes and let others handle their own. That way, I can truly gain self mastery and live my life with contentment, something that I find is missing now.
