Clt Cultivation - Spiritual vs Material objective

Postby alexfong » Wed Mar 07, 2012 4:25 pm

From a practical perspective, many people have said that they would pursue a spiritual or cultivation objective once they have resolved all their material objectives. They have separated the cultivation and material objective as different objectives in life. Is this a correct view? If not, what should be the proper perspective from clt angle?

We all need money to pay for daily food, shelter and clothing.

It is a classical case where the initial objective of money being a means to an
end is eventually turned to an-end by itself. Money is not the root to all evils
but our good intentions can get turned into greed, hatred and delusion; that's
where it will never be enough !

If money is being channelled correctly into different compartments like :
healthcare and wellbeing i.e better food, worthwhile education, retirement
planning usage and current day-to-day expenditure plus meaningful investment
asset classes plus donation to the needy + individual religious cause; then we
find that the money we earned is wisely spent. More important, it will direct us
to seek to earn such income thru proper channels.

The case of defering pursuing spiritual or cultivation objective is an excuse as
in the majority of the working class, by the time you accumulate the "necessary"
material wealth, you would have been too old, weak, sickly to even do the simplest
sit down meditation let alone practicing the CLT full spec.

In short, most human minds are not able to comprehend the urgency of cultivation
whilst they are still working and their physical self is in good shape. In simpler terms
we all live in a fallen world where our physical & emotional forms are fast deteriorating
and i am sure the healers would agree that it take great effort, patience and crystal-power
to turnaround a patient. That is of course if these patients choose to seek out HG's help.
What do you think happens to the rest who are not so fortunate ? Guess you could say
karma is at work but then again HG can only save those who want to be saved.

It is important to understand the relationship between material or physical needs vs spiritual or cultivation.

Most people are not aware that their material needs are obtained when they exchange their energy for it. The more material needs are exchanged, the more energy reserve is depleted. Some people can this energy reserve as virtues or merits. That is why some people who are talented but have to work very hard to earn a living, and there are others who do not have to work hard and yet have amassed so much wealth.

All materialism need comes from virtues. This is the reason why many people in financial dire straits cannot get out of their circumstances is because they are not aware that they have run out of virtues to convert.

Cultivation is an accumulation of good energies and virtues. Cultivation is not for the sole purpose of meeting your material objective but it is for the purpose of raising consciousness so that you can arrive at a high quality of life on all aspects. Your source of material needs comes from cultivation. Both these objectives are integrated and must be balance in order to achieve a high quality living.

Previously, I did not understand what Master Bob meant when he introduced the concept of cultivation. After listening to a recent discourse and going through my father's near death experience, I started understanding what he meant by cultivation. Cultivation is to choose to live your life according to the 3Ps and the principles of nature so that we can refine ourselves to one day embody the characterics of our Creator. Upon choosing to live, eat and breathe the 3 principles in our daily life, we will unlock the fundamental divine gift that our Creator has bestowed upon us: the ability to create.

When we unleash this capability, we have no issues attracting what we need to sustain us as we have the energy and the geometric structure to make our thoughts materialise into reality in a fair, loving and ethical manner. I suspect the reason why we humans get stuck in the material world is because we are terribly pre-occupied about keeping what we have created for fear of losing it. What makes it worse is our scarcity mentality in that we believe that there is not enough to go around. This begins a vicious cycle that makes us pursue materialism at the expense of our virtues. However, we begin to shift our focus to maintaining and sustaining our fundamental capability to create by embodying the charateristics of the Light, perhaps we stand a chance to make that transition from materialism to spiritualism. This way, we can thus stand a chance to sustain ourselves in this physical realm without exhausting our precious virtues.
